60% MEAL Systems Management and Quality Program Support


Assist WFP-GFD project staff in implementing the ITT, data collecting, process monitoring, reporting, and other requirements outlined in the WFP Technical Guidance for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting for Emergency Activities. Make that the WFP-GFD project is properly branded in all program deliverables related to food assistance (project sites, & project events) Oversee the planning and execution of needs assessments, live distributions, and PDM, and make sure the results are evaluated and recorded. Synopsis of the Job Description

Make routine observations during the live food distribution process to ensure that the WFP and donor-agreed standards are being followed. After each food distribution round, conduct a routine commodities end-use check in the designated woredas to confirm that recipients have received their entitlements by the established ration sizes and to confirm any other pertinent information regarding WFP-GFD food recipients. Conduct routine warehouse inspections in the secondary warehouses assigned to the WFP-GFD target woredas to verify that a higher standard of compliance with donor, WFP, and UNHCR requirements is being met in terms of warehouse management. Examine pertinent food transaction documents to ensure that standard recording and documentation practices are followed, and offer input on how different commodities transaction recording documents are reconciled. To prevent corruption and misappropriation, check and confirm that control mechanisms are sufficient at every stage of the WFP-GFD food handling and distribution process. Take the lead in following up and closing findings at the field level by actively collaborating with WFP-GFD field office staff, especially the WFP-GFD Focal person, and communicating all food monitoring procedures to the WFP compliance officer at the HO. Host and carry out joint food monitoring with WFP Food Monitoring staff.
